Ex. Dir. ABCCM
Reverend Scott Rogers has served as Executive Director for ABCCM since October, 1981, where emergency assistance is provided each year for 42,000 men, women and children. These services are provided by over 5,000 volunteers from 279 churches. ABCCM has been driven by clergy and lay leaders who are committed to providing new skills, education, career level jobs and permanent housing. For those with a job and housing, the Crisis Ministries have worked to keep them in their own homes with common sense solutions and financial help or food and clothes. For those with a job who encounter illness or tooth ache or a lack of medications that threaten that job, the Medical Ministries have provided healing with Hope to keep them on the job. For those incarcerated, we engage men and women in our Jail Ministry with information and resources to make new choices, For the homeless, we equip them with housing, food, clothes, life-skills, education, training and jobs that lead to permanent housing. Scott is a recognized community leader who engages in multiple strategies across our diverse community to bring the greatest resources to the greatest number of people in need to keep their jobs and homes that lead to strong families and a safer, stronger community.
