She is 14 years young and is in 8th grade. She was born in Asheville, NC but grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Growing up in Georgia has made her who she is today. She had many friends and wasn’t so shy. She also loves to sing and her hobbies are writing music, singing, drawing, and writing poetry. Singing has always been a huge part of her life. It makes her feel relaxed and it’s a better way for her to connect to her emotions.
She describes working at Word on the Street as basically the best thing that has ever happened to her because she can be herself without having anyone make fun of her or tease her. What she wants to change in her community is racism because we should all be treated equally and with respect instead of having all of the racist comments thrown against African Americans, Hispanics, and many more.
