Matthew Bacoate

Matthew Bacoate is the founder of Asheville Community Enterprises, a company newly-established to develop and offer a safety app for Youth and Young Adults across the country.  This phone app will assist youth with answers to questions based on the reality of what they are dealing with in society and offer them a safety module for when they are away from home, to be able to contact someone immediately. i.e. family and or law enforcement.  They will receive message alerts of dangers and of events that will help them to make better informed decisions.
Matthew’s other company, NBLC, Inc., is a company that offers Solar Equipment and Services for installation of Solar for businesses and homes.  He is the former Director of New Life Options, Inc., where he worked for 23 years assisting people with drug and alcohol problems. He is also a Methodist Minister since 2000. Matthew was the recipient in 2000 of the Nancy Susan Reynolds Award for Personal Service.  He served in the US Army from1980-86, and he attended AB Tech College from 1990-91 and Montreat College in 2015. Matthew has been married to Marcia Bacoate for 27 years, and the couple has three children, Mychal, Matt, and Maya.
