Anna was born and raised in Asheville, NC as the third oldest of eight children and strongly believes in “Family First”. After graduating from Asheville High she joined AmeriCorps Project POWER in 2008 and served as a 5th grade teacher’s assistant at Jones Elementary School and as a Pisgah View Learning Center Coordinator through Children First. Following her AmeriCorp experience, Anna enrolled in the Green Opportunities job training program, became an instructor in that program and within 1 ½ years became the Recruitment and Support Coordinator over all Green Opportunities training programs. Anna is deeply committed to giving back to local community by learning skills that can be taken back into communities and taught with the intension of educating all people, despite economic background, and showing others there are still good people in our forever changing world. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time with loved ones over good food, playing with Rosco (her beagle), going to movies and perfecting her talent as an amazing chef at home.
